Public yoga classes
We offer daily drop-in classes, starting from 1st of April 2024. The current times are 9.00 am and 5.00 pm. For details on styles, teachers and more, please have a look at our Instagram page. There, you can also find announcements on workshops or other special events.
All materials like mats, straps, blocks and bolsters are provided. As a special, you can use our Stay Golden pool free of charge before or after class.
Private yoga classes
Do you prefer to have a 1 to 1 with an experienced teacher? Then book a private class with us. We will set the style for the class together, depending on your preferences. Are you interested? To make a booking, please message us via mail or whatsapp, or Instagram. Yoga mats, blocks, straps, and bolsters are provided.

Prices and offers – 2024
The price per person in a public group class is 3000 LKR. A private class is 10000 LKR per person.
Long term discounts:
Get your class pass to practice as much as you want!
Yoga-Week-Pass: Pay 12000 LKR, and practice with us for 7 days.
Yoga-Month-Pass: Pay 30000 LKR, and practice with us for 28 days.
Please note that this pass has to be purchased with your first practice. It can not be requested retrospectively. Workshops and other events are not covered by week- or month-passes.
Everyone who joined a yoga class at Stay Golden can use the pool free of charge after the practice.
You have never practised yoga before? No worries! We value a safe space and take care, that classes are not too big. By that, we can adapt the level of the class to the level of the participants.

About the styles
Vinyasa flow, often also called power yoga, is an active and athletic style of yoga adapted from the traditional Ashtanga style. Focus is on moving with your breath. With the heat of Arugam Bay, you will start sweating easily. It’s also the perfect complement to surfing, since you flow while stretching all body parts.
Hatha yoga focuses on the basic and classical approach for asanas. On the one hand, it is about getting to know postures (for beginners). On the other hand, it is great to work on your alignment and holding the postures.
Yin yoga focuses on stretching and lengthening your deep connective tissues. The idea is that you relax your muscles and let gravity do the work. By holding postures for at least 3 minutes you also practice your patience and letting go. Especially when you tend to move all the time, Yin might be challenging. For this very reason, Yin will help you to start calming your body and mind. The mental strength you build up with Yin supports to stay focused on the water while surfing, too. For teachers: Retreats, trainings and workshops at Stay Golden
Are you a yoga teacher looking for a great place to host a retreat, training or a workshop? Contact us for your individual offer based on your preferences and needs.
Our yoga space can host a maximum of 15 students. Stay Golden is located directly at the beach and surrounded by nature, hence, it is a perfect space for a retreat or a training. Due to our different room categories, we can accommodate 12 (everyone in an own bed) respectively a maximum of 20 persons (one double bed shared by 2 persons). We will propose a food menu rich in diversity, also available as vegetarian or plant-based variations. Activities like a National Park safari or surfing lessons can spice up your retreat or training additionally. We can especially recommend the months from October to February for an event, as it is less hot (25 to 28 degrees), and the room rent prices are lower due to the slow season.
